If you are unsure of what the codes stand for, check our size guide below.

For example:

The dimensions of an A4 are 210mm x 297mm. 210mm can be seen across the top of the A4 sheet and as A3 landscape is the same height as an A4 portrait, you get the 297mm height. To cut it short and in a more simple method, when you have an A4 sheet and double that size you end up with an A3. Double the A3 and you end up with A2. Double the A2 and you have A1 and so on.
